Intuitive Birthing

I have spent the last 10 years channeling my passion and love for children into work that goes beyond basic care to include mentorship, whole- child wellness practices, creative activities, spiritual grounding, academic support, and character development. Currently, I work at a rural public elementary school as a resource liaison focusing on the social and emotional health of my students. I have real life trauma- informed experience working through high- risk situations and crises, including being a support for ICU patients, emotionally deregulated individuals, and substance users. I am trained as a mental health first aid responder, and I have experience in advocacy and conflict resolution. In my work and in life, I am intuitive, sensitive, caring, empathetic and humble. I respect and honor diversity, autonomy, individuality, and community. I have a humanistic and holistic view of medicinal work and a solid spiritual foundation that will allow me to support you in this profound transition.

Sliding scale is based on financial need. Discounts for marginalized community members, including single mothers, will be considered. Payment plans are also available. I aim to make doula services accessible to anyone who might desire them.

I offer the following doula services at each stage of your journey to parenthood:

  • Prenatal

    • at least 3 one- hour birth plan consultations

    • providing information about other local resources to support that birth plan

    • attendance in 3- 5 labor classes as birth partner

    • up to 4 (pre- scheduled) hour- long emotional support phone calls

  • Antepartum/ During Birth

    labor support according to your birth plan using physical, mental, emotional, and creative therapeutic strategies

    (affirmations, massage, music & vocalizations, poetry reading, dancing)

  • Postpartum

    16 hours of nanny services, including home childcare for new baby and other children, light housekeeping, meal prep, household shopping, accompaniment on outings, etc.

    *postpartum services can also be booked separately by the hour.

  • Birthing Packages

    I serve parents and families in Western Humboldt and surrounding areas. As a brand new doula, my rates are flexible and accommodating. You have the ability to choose which services I provide for you and your family.

    • “Birth Package” includes the prenatal, antepartum and labor support services listed above. The flat rate for the “Birth Package” is on a sliding scale of $250- 400.

    • “Home Package” includes the postpartum support services listed above.

    • The flat rate for the “Home Package” is $250; a discounted hourly rate on a sliding scale of $15- 18 will be offered should services continue after the 16 hours included in the package. *Postpartum services can be booked separately by the hour on a sliding scale of $18- 20.

    • “Baby Bundle” combines the “Birth” and the “Home” packages for a flat rate on a sliding scale $400- 650.
